Blogging? It's Elementary, My Dear Watson!

Blogging is typically thought of as an activity for high school students, but children as young as kindergarten age now blog. A blog is a web-publishing concept that enables anyone of any age to publish information on the Internet. Blogging is also a great way to publish news, ideas, rants or announcements without technical editorials and time constraints. Starting a blog is very easy.
Blogging in schools is still in its infancy. The students’ interest, quantity, and writing will increase when their work is subject to a reader. Students write better when they have a real audience. Many middle and high school classes use Blogger and LiveJournal.
The simplest way to begin is to download Blogmeister. It’s a free blogging tool. The teacher sets it up and the students can add their own entries. Kidzblog is an affordable blog and a secure solution for elementary teachers. It is password protected to ensure that entries will not go online until the teacher enters the password.
