Blogging in the Classroom

I think blogging is a great way to include all of the students in the subject(s) you teach. It offers unlimited opportunities for students to open up and discuss their ideas, as well as being able to review missed class work. It is a great way to get students to collaborate with class projects. Blogging is easy and can be used by all ages.
I would use blogging to help the students open up and discuss their opinions on class projects. Their in-class insecurities would disappear and they would be able to voice their opinion openly without disruptions. This would also be a great way for the students to learn confidence. It would even boost their writing skills since they would have a real audience to view their work. The hands on experience would make each student feel equally important, as well as learning a great skill to help the students in their future endeavors. The experience they gain from blogging is great for teaching valuable skills that they will not learn from test taking.
